About Me

MY JOURNEY IN MOTION

Stefano Kraniotis

I worked in neuroscience research for many years, studying the intricate connections of neurons.  Now I’ve shifted my lens to exploring the intimate connections between people.

I didn’t find AcroYoga, it found me–and it found me at a time when I needed it most.  The community wrapped its nurturing arms around me and ever since then I’ve wanted to share the gift I was given.  Oddly enough, the first time I heard about AcroYoga was after a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in 2014.  Today, it’s my mission to cross-pollinate these two incredible communities.  Over the last 10 years, both communities have given me so much– now it’s my turn to give back.

AcroYoga also introduced me the art of therapeutics and I quickly became fascinated.  As a martial artist I have always trained to control and subdue an assailant as efficiently as possible.  So when I discovered Thai Yoga Massage, the inverse principle was  mind-blowing.  The healing arts inspired me to learn how to manipulate the human body in order to create as much healing space in the body, as efficiently as possible.  Now, I’m inspired to share these therapeutics with people, tapping into their pain and discomfort whether physical or otherwise, and creating space in their life where they need it most.
